The Business and Support Manager works with considerable independence and is accountable to implement organizational priorities to support the Specialist Systems Branch alignment to the Defence Strategic Review and associated Divisional structural objectives. They will require extensive knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

The Business and Support Manager will collaborate and liaise with key stakeholders in an integrated workforce to identify impacts, assess organizational readiness, and develop organizational plans necessary to implement and sustain Specialist Systems Branch evolution. They will coach teams using appropriate business and support management principles, tools, and methodologies to build a resilient and informed workforce using strategic solid analysis and planning skills.

The Business and Support Manager leads a small team to plan and manage a range of human and physical resources. The team provides expert and strategic Business and Support management advice in relation to the assessment, analysis, documentation, and implementation of approved change management methodologies, including the evaluation and management of risks and issues.

The Business and Support Manager is required to have specialized knowledge of sustainment management practices. He approaches in relation to workforce management practices, processes, and systems, drives business transformation, and successfully delivers Defence objectives.
